A watch, which is a kind of precise timing instrument, has high price and a long-term use. Every consumer is concerned about the quality of each watch. Therefore, people always try their best to choose an excellent watch from all the beautiful ones. But how to choose a good quality watch that is a big question. Here are some tips.
Check the exterior parts of the watch.
Exterior parts include watch case, glass, dial and hands. Watch case and glass should not have any nicks. What’s more, it is very important to have three hands installed in the right place. There is exact security space between one hand and another or watch case and glass. Don’t forget to check out the back, because there’re many details including place of origin, its function, material, model and so on.
Check sensitivity.
The sensitivity of the watch means the sensitivity of the automatic swing of balance wheel. Shake the non-walking watch gently. If second hand stops walking in a very short time, then the watch can finish all the winding, which means it has a high sensitivity. If not, it appears that there’s something wrong with the watch or the watch lacks of sensitivity.
Check the distance and position of the hands.
Every hand should keep several distances from each other in case of friction. Put hour hand and minute hand on 3 or 9 o’clock to see if the two hands become a right angle. And then to observe if there’s line, when the watch reach 6 o’clock. Finally the hour hand and minute hand should coincide at 12 o’clock.
Sapphire is the first choice.
Nowadays, among the middle or high brand watches, the glass of a watch is mostly made of sapphire. Hardness is its biggest advantage, which protect the watch from rubbing or corrosion. SAPPHIRE will be marked on the watch case or its back to tell original from fake.
More importantly, before you buy a watch, you’d better make sure its place of origin, manufacturer and after-sales service. After buying, you have to ask for an invoice as well as a guarantee of the watch to ensure your rights, because you can’t get your after-sales service without them.
