Launched in the 40th anniversary of the original Explorer II, this Rolex 216570 Explorer II is doomed to be a remarkable creation. Its stainless steel case is enlarged to 42mm. Though 42mm case is not exactly the oversized items like Hublot creations, the Rolex Explorer II watches of 42mm case are rarely found, which makes this Orange Hand Explorer II entirely standout in the collection. Of course, never rest on the larger case, more brilliances of it!
We can’t neglect the orange hand from the very beginning hearing its name, can we? On the white dial, the GMT hand is eye-catching with its special orange exterior, and the luminescent hour and minute hands try to gain more glances with their broader and more legible design. The black dial quietly creates a sense mysterious, totally different from the white dial model. But personally, I show more favor on the pure white item.
What’s more, Rolex 216570 Explorer II is flaunting with a home-made Rolex movement – the new Caliber 3187. The Rolex Caliber 3187 is outstanding with the high-end precision and innovations including the Paraflex shock absorbers and a non-magnetic Parachrom hairspring. Needless to cry up its superior materials, flawless craftsmanship or the excellent timekeeping and durability! The sophistication of Rolex watches in watch-making is witnessed from the very beginning of the brand.
Of sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, stainless steel bracelet with a new Oysterlock clasp, the unchanged 100m water resistance, this Rolex 216570 Explorer II boasts as another classic masterpiece from Rolex. But as usual, I feel it redundant of the cyclops for date magnification.
