A Review of the Latest Omega Museum Collection
Posted in Omega watch by admin - Apr 26, 2010Omega is debuting the latest Museum Collection edition watch; sleek and defined and tough as nails thanks to cutting edge technology and high quality materials adopted in the manufacturing process.
A masterpiece out of the Omega’s Museum Collection is truly the Omega Milestone 1941, the ninth member in the Museum Collection. The new version is inspired from the 1938 CK 2080 watch. Compared with its predecessor, it features a busy face with a tachymeter, a telemeter, 30 minute chronograph and the time. The tachymeter is of great help in computing speed according to the travel time or measuring distance on the basis of speed, while the telemeter can be used to measure the distance of a phenomenon that is either visible or audible. With big prominent 12, 6 and hour indicators and hands covered in SuperLumiNova, the hour ring is instantaneously eye catching and brilliant. The two sub-dials positioned independently at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock give a perfect demonstration of the 30 minute chronograph and seconds counter.
The new version also shares some similarities with its predecessor, including black face, white dial markings and exceptionally stunning lugs, etc. However, remarkable difference can be sported beneath the surface of the timepiece. The new version is powered by a trendy and contemporary Omega Caliber 3203 Co-Axial manually winding movement with a column wheel for the chronograph complication. The 1938 Omega CK 2080 features stainless steel that is quite hot among high level wardrooms. On the contrary, the Omega Milestone 1941 is meticulously crafted from 18k white gold with a limited scale of merely 1941 models designed mainly for avid watch fans and collectors.
Omega’s commitment in unveiling the Omega’s Museum Collection is to blend its enriching quintessential tradition of delicate watchmaking and its dedication to high end machinery.
